Dune: Awakening

On Dune: Awakening, I served as a Senior Level Designer, substantially contributing to the overall level and encounter design throughout the game. I was primarily involved in the design of the deep cave systems, Journey levels, open world, and level optimization.

  • Develop game levels, encounters, and challenges in Unreal Engine 5 and Blender.
  • Design the metrics and gameplay for the deep cave system.
  • Design and build multiple open-world encounters, including wrecked ships and NPC bases.
  • Layout multiple Journey levels, including The Wreck of the Hephaestus, The Lab Under Old Carthag, The Paranoid, The Glutton, and The Jackal.
  • Develop a prototype of the trap system using blueprint scripting.
  • Level construction with custom and modular sets.

Game Design

I have worked on multiple shipped 3D interactive titles using Unreal 5 and internal game editors in the game design and level design roles.

  • Owned level and open-world design from graybox through final polish on Dune: Awakening, including key caves, vertical zones, spice harvester interiors, and traversal challenges.
  • Collaborated with environment art and narrative teams to craft story-driven spaces consistent with IP tone and player progression.
  • Defined modular building standards and gameplay metrics for scalable world-building across the design team.
  • Scripted combat encounters and navigation systems to enhance pacing, difficulty balance, and player guidance.
  • Authored detailed documentation, 2D maps, and 3D blockouts for design communication with Adobe and Atlassian software.
  • Mentored junior designers in layout, player flow, scripting, and performance optimization.

Web and App Design

I have experience developing 2D interaction through websites and apps.

  • Designed and developed interactive web platforms with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for education and training.
  • Improved user experience through better navigation, responsive layouts, and accessibility compliance.
  • Developed AR/VR and mobile experiences using Unity and Vuforia for commercial and educational clients.
  • Built interactive kiosks and wayfinding applications, improving usability, navigation, and engagement.
